LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR WORK!

Thanks for visiting the website; I hope you’ve had a chance to listen to a podcast or two. If you haven’t, it would probably be a good idea to visit This Page, and pick out a 2 or 3 episodes to get a feel for things.

If you happen to be an author and you’re thinking, “Hey, I’d like to have an audio interview to help promote my book,” then you will want to be familiar with what I do, how I do it, and why.

– The interviews are the easy part. It’s going to be a free flowing conversation that will be very similar to you and I sitting across the table from each other, eating a cheeseburger, and talking about your work. I’ll ask for a brief summary on the storyline (2-3 mins) and then I’ll respond to that with a few follow up questions based on what you’ve told me…. very much like a conversation.

– Each interview takes about 45 minutes to record and about 6 to 8 hours to edit and publish with a dedicated webpage. I put in a lot of work on this and if you’re going to be a guest, I expect you to put in some work as well. Your part is to promote the heck out of your particular interview and to support other authors (whose genre and interview you enjoyed) by promoting their interviews as well.

The more we promote each other
the bigger the audience becomes
and the better it works
for everyone involved.

– Lastly, I don’t promote every genre. Sorry about that, but I (just like you) don’t happen to be genuinely interested in everything. I prefer action, adventure, mystery, suspense, conspiracy, etc. Tell me a story. Make it believable. Creep me out if you must, but above all else tell me a great story and make it interesting!

I do not promote romance novelists, erotica, mysticism, demonic, or extreme violence. If you write in those genres, I wish you the best, but my audience is not your audience. Please, don’t be offended by that; I’m saving us both some time.

If you feel like your work would appeal to the audience I’m attempting to entertain, then contact me at Mark@SplinterInTheMindsEye.com and tell me a little bit (200 words or less) about your book. The big red button above works as well.

– Put “Author Interview” in the subject line, so that I’m aware that you are an author who is interested in setting up an interview.

– Tell me the title of your book or book series and give me a short summary. Again, 200 words or less.

– Include a link to your author page on Amazon. If you don’t have one, you’re missing an important piece of your marketing puzzle. Put one together and get back to me once it’s in place.

One Last Thing:

I do not currently charge to record, edit, and publish the final audio recording. However, I do reserve all rights to the content, which includes using it for promotional purposes as I see fit. Your interview will be on my server for approximately 6 months. From time to time, I have to clear space for new interviews and the oldest ones sometimes go bye-bye.
